The Race Evo 5 Day Intermediate Combined Training Course is the essential next step for tuners who’ve already completed beginner-level training and now want to sharpen their practical tuning knowledge across both Diesel and Gasoline platforms using the Dimsport Race Evo software suite.

This course is designed to move you from basic map editing to commercial-ready, confident file development. You’ll learn how to build proper Stage 1 tuning files from scratch, not just make changes to pre-set templates. You’ll also gain the technical depth needed to identify key maps manually, scale axes correctly, and apply calculated tuning strategies that consider both performance and safety.

Both petrol and diesel calibration logic is covered in full, and each day builds toward real-world tuning workflows that support consistent, repeatable file delivery. Whether you’re tuning with economy, power, or balance in mind, this course ensures you have the skills to do so professionally and efficiently.

What You’ll Learn Over the 5 Days

  • Day 1 – Tuning Fundamentals & Advanced Race Evo Use
    – Deeper understanding of ECU structures
    – Axis scaling and extrapolation techniques
    – Efficient workflow setup in Race Evo
    – Reading and understanding raw data
  • Day 2 – Diesel-Specific Tuning Techniques
    – Torque management and limiter structure
    – Injection correction and boost control
    – Rail pressure tuning and turbo dynamics
    – Safe emissions off strategies (EGR, DPF, AdBlue)
  • Day 3 – Gasoline-Specific Tuning Techniques
    – Spark advance and ignition safety
    – AFR and lambda control under various load points
    – Torque strategies and throttle mapping
    – NA vs. turbo strategies and safe optimisation
  • Day 4 – Developing Full Files & Troubleshooting
    – Hands-on file creation from OEM stock
    – Common mistakes and how to fix them
    – Practical testing and dyno validation logic
    – Diagnosing poor performance or unstable files
  • Day 5 – Workflow Automation & Commercial Application
    – Building files for consistent use across multiple vehicles
    – Creating repeatable tuning recipes
    – Client expectations and legal considerations
    – Post-course support access and working with VIEZU
