These SEMA 2026 courses are pitched at an Intermediate level. They are designed to take you from a basic WinOLS user level and build on that foundation, giving you the confidence to handle complex custom remapping projects and deliver specialised, high-precision tuning services.

Petrol ECU Tuning Course (Intermediate)
Dates: Saturday 31 October – Monday 2 November 2026 (Before SEMA)
This masterclass in petrol tuning will give you hands-on experience and the confidence to handle complex remapping projects. This course is not for absolute beginners; it is for those ready to tune Stage 1 to Stage 2 setups including high-flow cats, hybrid turbos, and larger injectors.
The curriculum includes:
- Confidently identify, understand, and tune gasoline ECU map groups.
- Build and organise WinOLS projects at an intermediate professional level.
- Modify AFR, spark, knock, boost, and torque maps for both stock and upgraded hardware.
- Use dyno/log data to validate and refine your calibrations.
- Deliver complete, safe and well-structured gasoline calibrations.
Diesel ECU Tuning Course (Intermediate)
Dates: Saturday 7 November – Monday 9 November 2026 (After SEMA)
This session is for serious diesel tuners. This course covers everything from building map packs to managing complex projects.
The curriculum includes:
- Confidently navigate and modify diesel ECUs using WinOLS at an intermediate level.
- Build and adapt mappacks, import previous calibration data and manage complex projects.
- Tune vehicles with stock hardware and upgraded hardware (large turbos and injectors).
- Produce safe, coherent torque/boost/fuel strategies with strong driveability.
- Refine calibrations using dyno/log feedback.

What level of experience is required for this SEMA WinOLS 5 training course?
This is an Intermediate level course. It is important to ensure attendees have the right foundational knowledge.
- For the Petrol Course: You should have completed beginner-level WinOLS gasoline training or have equivalent practical working experience. You should already be building or editing gasoline files and understand key tuning variables (airflow, load, ignition timing, lambda, knock, turbo boost).
- For the Diesel Course: You should be currently tuning diesel vehicles using WinOLS with consistent success. You should understand diesel map relationships, mappacks, and project structures.
