Whether you’re just starting out with tuning or you’re ready to consolidate your WinOLS skills in a structured way, this course provides thorough, organised, professional training for tuners working with diesel or petrol / gasoline.
The trainer for these tuning training events is EVC-certified and renowned UK-based tuner and tuning trainer Simon White – technical director and managing director of Viezu Technologies. This is expert practical training from experienced real-world tuners.
These courses are pitched at Beginner level. They give you a thorough, structured introduction to the WinOLS concept and user interface, and give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle a range of practical tuning projects. These courses give you a solid foundation to further develop your WinOLS tuning skills with Viezu’s Intermediate and Advanced WinOLS training courses.

- A thorough, structured introduction to the WinOLS concept and interface
- ECU logic and structure across major platforms
- Key map groups
- Identifying and grouping maps using WinOLS patterns and structures
- Reading and interpreting key dyno and log data
- Understanding the principles of using existing files from your WinOLS database:
- Comparing stock vs tuned files
- Adapting tunes across similar software versions
- Clean project management with mappacks, comments and versioning
You will learn:
- How to navigate and effectively use WinOLS to a good basic standard
- How ECUs calculate load, fuel and timing
- How to quickly identify core tuning maps
- How to read, interpret and apply key dyno and log data
- How to re-use and adapt existing calibrations through WinOLS import/compare features
- How to build clean, professional project structures ready for calibration work
