EVC WinOLS Gasoline Engine Tuning Online Training: Module 1 of 6 – starting work on download, installation and configuration of EVC WinOLS 5.
This is the first module of the Viezu Training Academy Remap101 online training course in gasoline engine tuning and ECU remapping using EVC WinOLS.

EVC WinOLS is powerful tuning and remapping software. However, it is difficult to learn, for the new user. With WinOLS, you are working with raw data. This gives you a lot of manual control, but WinOLS does not give you user-friendly starting points or guidance as part of its user interface.
The Viezu Remap101 online course for WinOLS will take you step-by-step through the set-up, configuration, and use of the software – in a structured way. As WinOLS is complex, there are more modules in our WinOLS courses than in our courses for other software platforms.
Completing all the modules in this online training course will give you a good grasp of WinOLS and how it can be used for practical applications in gasoline / petrol engine ECU tuning, remapping, and calibration.

In this first EVC WinOLS Gasoline module, you will learn how to download and install EVC WinOLS 5. You will learn how to configure the software and configure your settings, in advance of making your first project and tuning file.
In this module, a base original software file from a BMW vehicle is the training example. The tuning principles covered, and the techniques for the use of the WinOls software, are transferable to most gasoline / petrol engine tuning applications.
It is not essential to have your own WinOLS software to do this training course. However, your learning experience will be much better if you have the software open and with you on your own computer while you work through the modules. This gives you the opportunity to practise on the software and try out for yourself the processes and techniques you have learned from the video. This reinforces your learning.
